We’re thrilled to announce the official launch of the National Device Bank and its new online home: a central place for information, impact, and access to a more digitally inclusive Australia.
The National Device Bank was born from a shared vision: an inclusive Australia where no one is left behind in our increasingly digital world. With technology now essential for everything from education and job-seeking to banking and healthcare, the gap between those with digital access and those without is growing. In response, three leading organisations—WorkVentures, Good Things Australia, and Good360 Australia—have come together to deliver a national solution.
Each partner brings decades of experience and a unique strength to the program:
- WorkVentures leads the secure collection, refurbishment and redistribution of quality technology, backed by digital coaching support to ensure people can use their new devices with confidence.
- Good Things Australia are digital inclusion leaders, developing and delivering a range of innovative digital inclusion programs to support those most in need and ensure that no one is left behind in the digital world.
- Good360 Australia expands the reach of the Device Bank through its extensive national logistics network and ecosystem of trusted not-for-profit partners, ensuring devices can get to the people who need them—no matter where they live.
With over 16 million computers and mobiles refreshed by Australian organisations every five years, the potential to scale the National Device Bank is enormous. By unlocking just a portion of these still-valuable devices, we can transform lives through digital access.
Together, we’re creating a system that ensures anyone in Australia who needs a device can access one, along with the technical support and digital skills training to use it effectively. Whether it’s a student trying to complete their homework, a jobseeker attending interviews, or a senior learning to connect with family online, the National Device Bank exists to open those doors.
